Old Floresta is the Boca Raton that existed before the golf communities: a small historic district platted by Addison Mizner in 1926, its 1920s Mediterranean-revival homes set along streets named for flowers, Alamanda, Oleander, Hibiscus, under banyans that have had a century to close overhead. It sits just northwest of downtown near Boca Raton Regional Hospital, ungated and unhurried, one of the few neighborhoods in the city where the architecture predates the air conditioning.
The drive from Miami International covers about 48 miles and takes 55 to 65 minutes: I-95 north to Palmetto Park Road, west a short stretch, then north into the district. The streets here are narrow, shaded and residential; our chauffeurs approach them the way the neighborhood prefers, slowly and without the horn. You are dropped in your driveway, not idling in the road while an app recalculates.
Owners of these homes tend toward understatement, and the Business sedan from $129 fits the neighborhood’s temperament precisely: immaculate, comfortable, unshowy. First Class from $189 is there when the occasion warrants, and the Business SUV handles visits when grandchildren and their gear arrive together. As always, the fare is fixed at booking with the MIA meet and greet, flight tracking, waiting time, tolls and parking included.
Old Floresta is also ten minutes from Mizner Park and the downtown restaurants, so many clients book the airport transfer and a separate evening pickup in one order. One dispatcher, one standard, both directions of your visit handled.
